Rotary Club of Broadway Quezon City Inaugurates Ambulance for Haven for the Elderly
The Rotary Club of Broadway Quezon City marked a meaningful milestone in community service through the Global Grant Inauguration of a newly procured ambulance for the Haven for the Elderly in Tanay, Rizal, a facility facilitated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV-A.
Made possible through the partnership with the Rotary Club of Jeju Doldam, South Korea, District 3662, the project demonstrates the power of international Rotary collaboration in addressing essential community needs.
The initiative received the support of Immediate Past District Governor Veronica H. Yu, Unite for Good President Aminola P. Abaton, Legacy President Demi Moore M. Dumasig, Past Presidents Prima Sison, Enrique Soriano, and Neil Valenton, together with the District 3780 Club and District Grants Team, led by Grants Chair Past President Rene Cantos.
More than just a vehicle, the ambulance serves as a vital healthcare resource for elderly residents, providing safer and more reliable transportation for medical consultations, hospital referrals, and emergencies. This initiative strengthens access to timely medical care while promoting the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable senior citizens.
The day concluded with a fellowship lunch at Lanai Restaurant, celebrating friendship, partnership, and shared dedication to service.
Through this initiative, Rotary continues to demonstrate that meaningful collaboration creates lasting impact and brings hope to communities in need.
