Broadway Celebrities Stand Ready to Serve

On a rainy August 10, 2026, People’s Park in Quezon City became a center of humanitarian action as the Rotary Club of Broadway Quezon City (RCBQC), together with the Rotary Community Corps (RCC) and the Barangay Tatalon Team, mobilized to assist families affected by the relentless Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat.

Recognizing the urgent needs of evacuees whose homes and livelihoods were disrupted by flooding, RCBQC immediately launched a relief operation to provide essential supplies while strengthening community preparedness and resilience.

Before deploying, the club conducted overnight monitoring of the developing situation, maintaining close communication with RCC members, local leaders, and community volunteers. This proactive approach allowed the team to identify families requiring immediate assistance and respond based on real-time conditions on the ground.

The relief operation delivered essential goods to evacuees from Barangay Tatalon, providing much-needed support during a difficult period. Yet beyond the relief packs was a deeper message: in times of crisis, strong communities are built through preparedness, partnership, and compassion.

For the beneficiary families, the assistance was more than a collection of necessities. It was a reminder that they were not alone and that their community stood with them amid adversity.

The experience demonstrated how collaboration can amplify humanitarian efforts. By working closely with the RCC, barangay leaders, and volunteers, RCBQC ensured that assistance reached those who needed it most while laying the groundwork for stronger community resilience.

The Rotary Club of Broadway Quezon City remains steadfast in its commitment to service, partnership, and compassionate action—creating lasting impact wherever help is needed.
